
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (#4) in Red, Black, and Aran (I used red heart super saver yarn)
- 3.5mm hook and 5mm hook
- Safety eyes
- Stuffing
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
mc – magic circle
st – stitch (sts – stitches)
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
sc inc – single crochet increase
invdec – invisible decrease
dc – double crochet
dc inc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
Rnd – round
() – the total number of stitches at the end of each round
Notes:
- The head and arms are worked in continuous rounds (amigurumi style) and the blanket is worked in joined rounds (sl st and ch 3).
- The ch 3 at the beginning of the joined rounds count as a dc st.
- Use a stitch marker or scrap piece of yarn to mark the end or beginning of the continuous rounds.
Head:
-Work in Aran and use 3.5mm hook-
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
Rnd 2: sc inc x6 (12)
Rnd 3: 1 sc, sc inc (18)
Rnd 4: 2 sc, sc inc (24)
Rnd 5: 3 sc, sc inc (30)
Rnd 6: 4 sc, sc inc (36)
Rnd 7: 5 sc, sc inc (42)
Rnd 8: 6 sc, sc inc (48)
Rnd 9-17: sc around (48)
Rnd 18: 6 sc, invdec (42)
Rnd 19: 5 sc, invdec (36)

-Start stuffing-

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Finish stuffing.
Hat:
-Work in Black with 3.5mm hook–

-Change color to Red-
Rnd 19: sl st around (48)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Arms x2:
-Work in Black with 3.5mm hook-
Rnd 1: 4 sc in mc (4)
Rnd 2: sc inc x4 (8)
Rnd 3-18: sc around (8)
Rnd 19: ch 1 and fold piece in half, working through two stitches at a time, sc 4 (4)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Antenna:
-Work in Black with 3.5mm hook-
Ch 15 and fasten off. Pull tight on both sides of the ch 15 to create knots and cut the ends on both sides leaving a little bit of a tail but not too much.
Blanket:
-Work in Red with 5mm hook-
Rnd 1: In mc, ch 3 and dc 11, sl st to ch 3 (12)
Rnd 2: dc inc x12 (24)
Rnd 3: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in the next st, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (36)
Rnd 4: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in next 2 sts, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (48)
Rnd 5: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in next 3 sts, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (60)
Rnd 6: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in next 4 sts, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (72)
Rnd 7: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in next 5 sts, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (84)
Rnd 8: Ch 3 and dc in same st, (dc in next 6 sts, dc inc), sl st to beginning ch 3 (96)

Assembly:
Step 1: Place the hat on top of the head. I chose not to sew it because it’s such a snug fit but you can sew it if you’d like.
Step 2: Sew the head to the first row of the blanket (the center of the blanket).
Step 3: Sew the arms to the second row of the blanket. If you’d like to change the placement of the arms to where you desire you can.
Step 4: Pick up a stitch on top of the head in the center and pull the antenna through. If you’d like to secure the antenna better you can sew it after you do this step.
