Inner Tentacles (Oral Arms) x5:
-Work in color B and with a 5mm hook-
Notes: The first tentacle will be made separately from the other 4. Work the tentacles with the right side of the bottom piece facing you and they are worked on the surface of the bottom piece.

Tentacle 1: Ch 91, sc inc in the second ch from hook, sc inc 3 in the next ch. Repeat (sc inc in one st, sc inc 3 in the next st) until the last stitch, fasten off. You will attach this tentacle by pulling it through the center of the bottom piece (through the beginning mc) and you will be working the other tentacles around it.
Tentacle 2: Pick up a stitch between the first and second row of the bottom piece. sc in the same st and then ch 87. Sc inc in the second ch from hook, sc inc 3 in the next ch. Repeat (sc inc in one st, sc inc 3 in the next st) until the last stitch, fasten off. Sc in the next 2 sts.
Tentacle 3: Ch 79, sc inc in the second ch from hook, sc inc 3 in the next ch. Repeat (sc inc in one st, sc inc 3 in the next st) until the last stitch, fasten off. Sc in the next 2 sts.

Finishing: Sc in the first st of the round and fasten off weaving in all the ends. To make sure all of the ends are secure I tied them in a knot on the wrong side or the opposite side than we worked on so that the knot will be inside of the body when you’re finished.

Do not fasten off, continue to the next part to connect the top and bottom pieces.
Connecting The Top And Bottom Pieces:
–Continue using color A with 4mm hook-
Notes: Work with the top piece’s right side facing you and the bottom piece’s wrong side facing you. Work through both the top and bottom pieces at the same time and make sure to line up the stitches correctly. Stuff as you work, make sure you stuff it enough but not too much.
Rnd 38: Repeat (1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 trc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, all in the same st. sc in the next 2 sts.)
Once you’ve reached the end of the round, fasten off and weave in the ends.
Outer Tentacles x 12:
Notes: Work in color A with a 5mm hook. Flip the jellyfish so the bottom is facing up to work the outer tentacles. You will be working in the last row of the bottom piece by picking up stitches and chaining.
Repeat for all 12 tentacles: Pick up a stitch and ch 40 and pull the end tight to create a knot before fastening off to make sure it’s secure. Alternate counting 5 and 6 stitches between each tentacle. Repeat all the way around and once you’ve created 12 outer tentacles make sure to wave in all the ends.

I hope you guys like this pattern and have fun with it. I decided to make this after visiting the aquarium one day with my family and really wanted a giant jellyfish to cuddle with but the gift shop didn’t have one so, I made one. I encourage you to try experimenting with different yarns and hooks and colors! You can follow my blog for email updates when I post and upload new free patterns.
