When learning to crochet, learning your slip knot and chain stitch is essential as they are the foundation and most used techniques in crochet. How To Do A Slip Knot:
Step 1: Make a loop with the yarn.
Step 2: With your thumb and index finger, go through the loop.
Step 3: Pinch the tail end connected to the skein of yarn.
Step 4: Pull through the loop and tighten.
How To Do A Chain Stitch:
Step 1: Insert your hook into the stitch you’re working in.
Step 2: Yarn over and pull through, you should have two loops on your hook.
Step 3: Yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook.
