Slip Stitch

The slip stitch is one of the most basic stitches when it comes to crochet. Most crochet patterns use slip stitches to finish off a row of a project (joining stitches) or the project itself. If you find yourself struggling with this stitch I’ve included step-by-step instructions and an instructional video below!

Abbreviation:

Slip Stitch – sl st

How To Do A Slip Stitch:

Step 1: Insert your hook into the stitch you’ll be working in.

Step 2: yarn over and pull through, you should have two loops on your hook.

Step 3: Pull the first loop on your hook through the second loop, Do not yarn over before doing this step.
